Intro
....and a Halloween post, which is crossposted everywhere.

I'm Kim, and I love all seasons...but especially all things autumn. There is something so enchanting about the shorter warm days, and cool nights; the smell of burning leaves, pumpkin spice candles, and my favorite holiday, Halloween. To me, the energy surrounding Halloween is unmatched any other time of the year.

Today I noticed that Target stores are starting to put out a little chunk of Halloween goodies! They don't have the store decorated yet, but they do have some tee shirts and Halloween themed food items (at least).

I can't wait to grocery shop this weekend, and pick up some of the Jones Soda minis at $1.49. They are 6 packs of 8 oz little cans, I believe, and come in the flavors 'Scary Berry Lemonade', 'Caramel Apple', 'Candy Corn', and 'Strawberry Slime'. There may be more, but those are the only ones I can remember.

I'll be picking several of these each week and setting them aside, because my oldest son's birthday is November 7, and we usually celebrate it just shortly after Halloween. Always a Halloween theme, of course!

Halloween Fun
My son loves celebrating halloween too. We got him a great costumes this year. He really likes wearing Halloween hats. But I'm not so big on all the sweets. Seems like it's commercialized a lot, with an emphasis on how much we can get instead of celebrating the holiday. I personally limit how much candy my son eats in one sitting--last year his candy lasted over a month.
